Kansas City Rib Rub
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup paprika
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder ( I don’t always add this)
1 teaspoon cayenne
Method: Combine all ingredients together and transfer to an air tight container. May store up to six months.
Yields: About 1 cup.
How to Grill Pork Ribs:
Method: Grill ribs “low and slow.” If you have a gas grill like me just turn it down and rotate four to five times throughout the grilling process. If you have coals, cook over indirect heat. If you pre cook the ribs in the oven, then they just need to be reheated and/or smoked on the grill for flavor.
Bottom Line: 2-4 pounds over indirect medium heat for about 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. (Will be above 200 degrees.)
No BBQ sauce needed here. Enjoy!
